The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has updated its policies and procedures under which passengers are now allowed to carry toiletries on the flight along with their carry-on baggage. They can carry 3.4 ounce (100ml) in a single, quart-size clear plastic bag with zip-top closure. Any other type of bag like a fold-over sandwich bag or gallon size bag is not permitted. For security purposes, every passenger who is carrying a toiletry kit should get it scanned at the security check conveyor belt separately. TSA has shared a list of items that can be carried in a carry-on and checked baggage.
All food items should be covered and pass through the X-ray machine. Natural food items are an exception. Beverages bought in the secured boarding area can be carried along on the flight. There are no restriction on medicines and the amount of baby formula and breast milk, provided they are declared at the checkpoint.
